Northern Nan - a visionary songwriter and overlooked tip top starlet - finished her shift at the working men's club late one night in the 90s, only to step outside and find the windows of her Nissan Micra smashed in and the CD holder containing all of her demo recordings gone!
Since that fateful night, Nan has suffered the indignity of spending the best part of the last three decades hearing the songs stolen from her pop up on the radio, performed by shrieking children young enough to be her never-you-mind. Worse still - they've changed the original lyrics, destroying the poetry she had poured from her heart and soul into every verse-chorus-verse!
Still at the working men's club these 30-something years later, Nan is stepping out from behind t'bar for one night only, to quite literally set the records straight, performing the songs as they were originally intended, and giving an exciting glimpse into the behind the scenes of how they came to be.
So we beg you, please let this fading, undiscovered talent have her final hurrah onstage before she disappears into the streets of Doncaster, never to be seen again...
